AI Use and Transparency Policy

Controls and disclosures for optional AI-assisted explanations in Clear Treasury.

ApprovedLast updated August 27, 2026

Purpose and human review

AI features summarize or explain deterministic Clear Treasury calculations. They do not calculate the underlying financial measures, change source records, approve reconciliations, or take autonomous action. A user must review outputs before relying on them.

Data minimization

  • AI requests use aggregated measures, exception categories, identifiers needed for traceability, and concise structured context.
  • Source files, credentials, full payment-card data, and unnecessary personal information are not intentionally included.
  • API requests set storage-disabled controls where supported by the provider integration.
  • AI output is validated against a defined structure before display and is retained only when the user invokes and saves the analysis.

Limitations

AI output may be incomplete or incorrect and is not an audit, accounting conclusion, legal opinion, or government determination. Deterministic report totals and source-linked evidence take precedence over generated narrative.

Customer controls

AI analysis is user-initiated. Customers may choose not to invoke it and may request contractual restrictions for their deployment. Questions may be sent to privacy@cleartreasury.ai.
